The Ohio Wesleyan football team played in the 1971 Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl, then the NCAA College Division Western Regional title game.

The Ohio Wesleyan women's soccer team set an NCAA Division III record with a 60-game winning streak from 2001-03, including a 24-0 mark en route to the 2002 NCAA Division III national championship.

The Battling Bishop field hockey team won 7 consecutive North Coast Athletic Conference titles from 1987-93, and added another in 1995 to extend its string to 8 championships in 9 years.

Ohio Wesleyan has won 2 North Coast Athletic Conference championships in volleyball.  The Battling Bishops defeated Wittenberg in the title match in 1996, winning 3 games by a score of 16-14.
Women's Golf
Women's golf became Ohio Wesleyan's 23rd varsity sport in April 2010, with intercollegiate competition beginning in the 2010-11 season.

Ohio Wesleyan leads all NCAA Division III institutions with 34 NCAA playoff appearances in men's soccer.  The Battling Bishops have reached the national semifinals 9 times, and won national championships in 1998 and 2011.

Chad Poling won the NCAA Division III individual championship in men's golf in 2004.
Walter Byers Scholarship
David Gatz, a 2010 Ohio Wesleyan graduate, was awarded a 2011 Walter Byers Postgraduate Scholarship.  Gatz also won an NCAA postgraduate scholarship, was a Rhodes Scholar semifinalist (final 32), and was a 3-time Academic All-America® selection.

Ohio Wesleyan has won 2 North Coast Athletic Conference championships in women's lacrosse.  The Battling Bishops won the only NCAC title to be decided in overtime, a 14-13, triple-overtime thriller in 2005.

The Ohio Wesleyan women's basketball team advanced to the NCAA Division III national semifinals in 2001, finishing third in the nation that year.

Ohio Wesleyan has had 11 individual national champions in men's track & field.  Keith Rucker won 4 national titles in the shot put and discus, and Tyler Stillman won 2 national crowns in the 400-meter dash.

Jay Martin is the winningest coach in the history of college men's soccer, breaking the all-time victories record in the 2011 national championship game.
