Bishops' Bianco Named Regional Assistant Coach of Year

Ohio Wesleyan University assistant men’s soccer coach Brandon Bianco has been named Assistant Coach of the Year for NCAA men's soccer programs in the Great Lakes Region, it was announced by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Bianco was one of 8 assistant men's soccer coaches from NCAA Division I, Division II, and Division III institutions to receive regional honors and will be considered for the NSCAA's Glenn "Mooch" Myernick National Assistant Coach of the Year Award to be announced at the NSCAA's awards reception on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012.

Bianco helped guide Ohio Wesleyan to the NCAA Division III championship, the second national title for the Battling Bishops.  Ohio Wesleyan won the North Coast Athletic Conference championship with a 9-0 record, the Bishops' 20th title in the 28 seasons of NCAC competition, and finished the season with a 23-2 overall record.
