Sophomore Katie Helfrich (Marysville) posted Ohio Wesleyan's best individual finish to lead the Bishops at the OWU Invitational, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday at the Meek Center.
Kenyon won the meet with 406½ points to 364 for Findlay. Oberlin finished third with 270 points, followed by Ohio Wesleyan (255) and Notre Dame (245½).
Helfrich finished second in the 100 breaststroke and added a sixth-place finish in the 200 breaststroke.
Other standouts for the Bishops included sophomore Jennifer Erichsen (Farmington Hills, Mich./North Farmington), who finished third in the 1000 freestyle; sophomore Melissa Ward (Delaware/Home), who was third in the 100 butterfly; senior Morgan Canup (Milford, Mich.), who placed third in the 1-meter diving; senior Marina Metzler (Columbia, Md./Hammond), who was fourth in the 200 butterfly and sixth in the 100 butterfly; junior Elyse Ward (McDonald, Pa./Canon-McMillan), who was fourth in the 1-meter diving; senior Ali Russ (Shaker Heights), who finished fifth in the 1000 freestyle; freshman Maggie Helfrich (Marysville), who was sixth in the 200 and 500 freestyles; senior Anne McComas (Beverly Hills, Mich./Groves), who placed sixth in the 200 backstroke; and freshman Jacquelyn Zola (Brecksville/Brecksville-Broadview Heights), who finished seventh in the 100 butterfly and eighth in the 100 freestyle.
