Wabash 5, Ohio Wesleyan 3

Senior Ryan Leslie (Grosse Pointe Park, Mich./Grosse Pointe South) was a double winner for Ohio Wesleyan, but Wabash edged the Bishops in a consolation semifinal match of the North Coast Athletic Conference tournament on Sunday in Gambier.

Wabash advances to the fifth-place match against Allegheny, while Ohio Wesleyan will face Oberlin in the seventh-place match.  Both matches are scheduled for 1 p.m.

Leslie teamed with junior Matt Swaim (Oregon/Clay) to post the Bishops' only doubles win, a 9-8 decision over Evan Bayless and Ian Leonard at No. 3.

Leslie then knocked off Peter Gunderman, 6-4, 6-1, at No. 3 singles.

Ohio Wesleyan's other victory came from junior John Rissell (Whitefish Bay, Wis./University School), who defeated Leonard at No. 4 singles by scores of 6-4, 6-4.
