Four Bishops Receive All-NCAC Women's Lax Laurels

A total of 4 Ohio Wesleyan University women's lacrosse players were named to the All-North Coast Athletic Conference teams, it was announced today.

Junior attacker Annie Swanson (McLean, Va./Langley) was a first-team all-conference selection, sophomore midfielder Cate Bailey (Hingham, Mass.) and freshman defender Eilee Foley (Portsmouth, N.H.) were second-team all-conference picks, and senior defender Natalie Fisher (St. Louis, Mo./Ursuline Academy) was an honorable mention choice.

Swanson led the Bishops and ranks fourth in the NCAC with 48 goals scored this season.  She added 18 assists for a total of 66 points, the latter figure ranking sixth in the league.

Bailey ranked third on the team in scoring with 29 goals and 17 assists, and was second on the team with 57 draw controls.  She was an honorable mention All-NCAC choice in 2011.

Foley led the team with 48 ground balls, and her average of 3.00 ground balls per game ranks fifth in the NCAC.  Foley also was third on the team with 26 draw controls.

Fisher led the Bishops and ranks third in the NCAC in caused turnovers (1.75/game), and her 44 ground balls was second on the team.  She was a first-team All-NCAC selection in 2011, a second-team All-NCAC choice in 2010, and an honorable mention all-conference pick in 2009.

Ohio Wesleyan finished with an 8-8 overall record this season. The Battling Bishops finished in a tie for sixth place in the NCAC standings with a 1-5 record.
