3rd of 6 at CWRU Spartan Holiday Classic
Sophomore Cirrus Robinson (Ashland) won an event to lead Ohio Wesleyan at the Spartan Holiday Classic, hosted by Case Western Reserve University on Saturday in Cleveland.
Oberlin won the meet with 155 points to 115 for Case Reserve. Ohio Wesleyan finished third with 90 points, followed by John Carroll (74), Allegheny (38), and Muskingum (20).
Robinson won the high jump by clearing 5-7¾. She also teamed with sophomore Morgan Smith (Tiffin/Calvert), freshman Imani Johnson (Columbus/Groveport Madison), and freshman Cloie Riedlinger (Marion/Harding) for a second-place finish in the 1600-meter relay.
Other standouts for the Bishops included senior Emily Brown (New Concord/John Glenn), who was second in the long jump and third in the 60-meter dash; sophomore Jaliyah Atkinson (Columbus/Groveport Madison), who placed second in the 200-meter dash and fourth in the 60-meter dash; junior Alyssa Acevedo (Medina), who finished second in the 60-meter hurdles; senior Nicole Rozsa (Silver Lake/Cuyahoga Falls), who was fourth in the pole vault; sophomore Tiffany Moore (Cleveland/Euclid), who placed fifth in the high jump; sophomore Megan Sievers (Strongsville), who finished fifth in the 200-meter dash; freshman Erin Sheehan (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge), who was sixth in the pole vault; Smith, who finished sixth in the 400-meter dash; freshman Erin Ross (Middlefield/Cardinal), who was seventh in the 60-meter hurdles and eighth in the 200-meter dash; Riedlinger, who placed seventh in the long jump; sophomore Madison Haggerty (Loudonville), who placed eighth in the shot put; and freshman Courtney Owens (Columbus/Gahanna Lincoln), who finished eighth in the 60-meter hurdles.
