Ohio Wesleyan was ranked No. 18 in the Division III preseason poll featured in The Sporting News' annual college football yearbook.

Junior tight end Calvin Cagney (Indialantic, Fla./Melbourne) received preseason All-America honors from The Sporting News.

The Battling Bishops open their season on Saturday, Sept. 7, when they host Bluffton.  The Bishops' Nov. 2 clash at Wittenberg, ranked seventh in The Sporting News poll, was listed as one of 7 games to watch in Division III for the 2013 season.
