The Ohio Wesleyan volleyball team was ranked No. 25 in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III Coaches poll, it was announced by the AVCA.
This marks the first time Ohio Wesleyan has been ranked in the AVCA Division III poll since the Division III poll began in 1992, according to AVCA records.
"This is exciting and it's something to be proud of, but (the ranking) is not our main focus. We have a lot more goals to reach," said Bishop head coach Kirsta Cobb. "This is something we can reflect on more when the season's over."
Last week, Ohio Wesleyan lost to seventh-ranked Wittenberg, 3-0, in a North Coast Athletic Conference match on Thursday, before rebounding to defeat Oberlin, 3-0, in NCAC action on Saturday.
This week, the Bishops host Denison on Wednesday before facing Otterbein on Saturday.
