Ohio Wesleyan University junior Aaron Caputo (Strongsville), sophomore Mallory McCormick (Gahanna/Bishop Hartley), sophomore John Sotos (Dublin/Coffman), and junior Abbey Warth (Massillon/Tuslaw) have been named North Coast Athletic Conference Players of the Week for the week of April 6, it was announced by the NCAC.

Caputo, a catcher on the Ohio Wesleyan baseball team, was named Baseball Player of the Week; McCormick, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan women's track & field team, was named Women's Sprinter/Hurdler of the Week; Sotos, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan men's track & field team, was named Men's Distance Runner of the Week; and Warth, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan women's track & field team, was named Women's Distance Runner of the Week.

Caputo helped Ohio Wesleyan to a 5-0 record last week.  He tied a school record with 3 doubles in the nightcap of a doubleheader vs. Wabash, going 3-for-4 with 4 runs scored in the game, and set a school record with 6 hits in a 22-7 win over sixth-ranked Heidelberg, also scoring 4 times and knocking in 3 runs in the game.  He was 3-for-4 in the opener of non-conference doubleheader vs. Ohio Christian, and doubled in what proved to be deciding run in the nightcap vs. Ohio Christian.  On the week, he batted .682 (15-for-22) and belted 9 doubles for a slugging percentage of 1.091.  He scored 11 runs and drove in 9 runs.

McCormick helped the Bishop 1600-meter relay team win its event at the Marv Frye Invitational, helping Ohio Wesleyan win the team title.  She also placed fourth in the 400-meter dash and fifth in the 200-meter dash.

Sotos finished second in the 1500-meter run, helping the Ohio Wesleyan men's team win the team title at the Marv Frye Invitational.

Also competing at the Marv Frye Invitational, Warth anchored the Bishops' first-place 1600-meter relay team and posted a second-place finish in the 1500-meter run.
